What is Naloxone?
Naloxone (also known by the brand name Narcan) is a life-saving medication that rapidly reverses an opioid overdose. It works within minutes, is safe to use even if you’re unsure whether opioids are involved, and cannot be used to get high. Carrying it is one of the most important steps anyone can take to prevent an overdose death in their community.
