The Wilson County Substance Prevention Coalition is committed to reducing substance misuse through education, prevention, and community response. Our data highlights both progress and ongoing need across Wilson County.
Fatal opioid overdoses in Wilson County have fluctuated over time, underscoring the importance of continued prevention and intervention efforts. Reported deaths were 19 in 2020, rising to 25 in both 2021 and 2022, and peaking at 36 in 2023. While deaths decreased to 15 in 2024, numbers increased again to 24 in 2025—a reminder that sustained community response remains critical.
